The 2017 Chevy SS is a performance vehicle based on the “Holden Commodore (VF)”. It is a sedan sized between the Chevrolet Malibu and the Chevrolet Impala. At its launch into the American market in late 2013, it was the first V8 sedan possessing a rear-wheel drive to be sold by Chevrolet in about 18 years.

The standard model of the SS comes with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, 415 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. It is equipped with high-performance Brembo brakes which guarantee major stopping power. The brakes are 4-piston models for both the front and rear rotors. The front tires and back tires have rotor lengths of 14 inches and 14.2 inches respectively. There is a new standard quad-tipped dual-mode exhaust with the SS that allows for smooth transitions as the vehicle from Tour mode to Sport to Performance. There is also a magnetic ride suspension that continually adapts for ultimate control as you switch the between modes.
